Illustrated Calendars

For the past 4 years, I've created a calendar that includes 13 unique illustrations. I start with the beginning  sentence,

"In The..." and decide the theme from there. Each year I use as  exploration in my illustration style and composition. In the end it's more than a calendar to me, but  worlds I've created much like you would for a picture book. Every calendar is risograph printed in two ink colours.

In The House, 2025

Inspired by eclectic gallery walls, cosy reading nooks, impromptu dance parties, and many more moments shared in your home! For this calendar, I wanted to play with composition by finding creative ways to include each months grid in the image.

In The Neighbourhood, 2024

Inspired by my local shops and small businesses, such as your local pub, city farm and community gardens, local market square, and neighbourhood yard sales.

In The Mail, 2023

Playing with the idea of form, this calendar included interactive elements that could be completed after finishing the calendar, such as, cut-outs, origami and postcards. All inspired by things you might receive in the mail, From greeting cards, postcards, packages, to coupons, ransom notes and catalogues.

In The City, 2022

This calendar had 4 different page sizes to have part of an image pepping through, creating an effect of city layers, including shop signs, a construction site and train. For this calendar I wanted to push my illustrative capabilities, creating detailed scenes.
